Lecture on Gustaf Tenggren:
From Magra to Magic Kingdom

19:00 o'clock April 7th, Lars Emanuelsson will speak about Gustaf Tenggren's life and art at Borås Museum, Sweden. Using his own biography on the artist as a starting-point, he will elaborate over Tenggren's development from a poor Swedish fairy tale illustrator to an American Disney-renownd, million-selling children's books artist.

Tenggren painting for sale

A beautiful Tenggren piece will be shown at Illustration House's traditional Christmas Auction December 6. It is painted in 1918 shows a lonely little princess in a big, dark forest. It is a typical motif of tenggren's y this time, when he just recently inherited the commission of illustrating Bland Tomtar och Troll. The inspiration from John Bauer, as well as from Ivar Arosenius is obvious.
